Windjammer Reef
The Windjammer Wreck sits just south of Loggerhead Reef in the Dry Tortugas. It was a Norwegian Avanti and sank in 1907 while traveling to Uruguay from Pensacola. This old sailing vessel is now covered in magnificent life from bouldering brain coral, juvenile fish, and predators of the deep. Through destruction, a new living reef has been created. Enjoy the movement and bright colors of this historical living ship and be surrounded by its beauty everyday by collecting “Windjammer Reef”.
